Here's what people are saying about All Hands Productions performances:
Once again, thank you for such a great performance. Our students are still talking about the show. It couldn't have been more perfect for our children. And to see the expressions on their faces, many of whom are expressionless most of the time, was such a joy. Continued success in all your endeavors. Thank you for touching our students in such a positive manner. - Stephanie McGhee, Helen Keller School
Thank you so much for presenting your puppet performance of "Aesop's Fables" at the library last week. It was a wonderful show and all those who attended enjoyed it greatly. It was a wonderful alternative to watching TV! Your puppets are great and I particularly appreciated the way you interacted with them and with the audience. It worked well to have the audience see the puppeteer as well as the puppets... - Sue Schur, Children's Librarian, Mansfield Public Library, Mansfield, CT
The Fellowship Committee of First Presbyterian Church of Foley wishes to thank you for your presentation at our family supper night. God has blessed you with a wonderful talent and we wish the best for you in all the days to come. - Fellowship Committee, First Presbyterian Church, Foley, AL
Though the performer's strength was clearly in its ability to keep children absorbed and laughing for 45 minutes, none of the older audience members ever appeared bored or anxious to go. "Tales for the Telling"* was well written, well crafted, and masterfully performed. - Dennis Lawson, Daily Campus, University of Connecticut
*"Tales for the Telling" was re-titled "Billy Goats Gruff and Other Stuff" in 2001
David Stephens, a very personable young man with the smooth and confident air of a seasoned perfomer, held the Festival audience in rapt attention as he transported them through his delightfully modernized and twisted versions of “Little Red Riding Hood” and “The Three Billy Goats Gruff.” His voice work, although reminiscent of many Muppet characters, was clear and effective. His manipulation was precise, fluid and agile, carefully delineating each of the hand puppet characters. - Review of “Billy Goats Gruff and Other Stuff” by Phillip Huber. Puppetry Journal, Summer 2003.
Thank you for joining us once again with your puppet magic! - Vince Anthony, Executive Director at the Center for Puppetry Arts, Atlanta, GA.
I just wanted to thank you for the outstanding job you did at the Santa Rosa County libraries last week. Your program was delightfully entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed it (all four times), and I know the children enjoyed it also. In fact, I keep catching myself singing, “a story, a story...” It was truly a pleasure to meet you. You have helped make our summer reading program a huge success. - Reata Grace, Santa Rosa County Children's Programmer.
All of us at Puppets Up would like to thank you very much for you being such a big part of our puppet festival. We were very proud to present your “Jack and the Beanstalk” show in the Victoria Mills Theatre. It received rave reviews and many people told me how much they had enjoyed it. I'd like to say that your puppets are truly engaging and that you have a wonderful strong voice!! Keep up the great work. - Noreen Young, Festival Director for Puppets Up! Almonte, Ontario Canada.
“Billy Goats Gruff and Other Stuff” was awesome! The puppeteer was incredible! Great sense of humor, personality-he worked the puppets like the back of his hand! Thanks so much! - comment from an audience member at The Center for Puppetry Arts.
Thank you so much for coming and sharing your puppets and your many talents with us. Laughter is something there is too little of, but your show certainly changed that. Everyone was laughing! Thanks again and maybe we'll see you again sometime. - Nancy Fitzgerald. Youth Coordinator. Bay Minette Public Library.
